Microblading

TECHNIQUE – microblading first appeared in Asia about 25 years ago. This treatment creates hair-like strokes to shape, define and enhance the fullness of the eyebrows. Microblading is carried out using a small handheld tool to deposit pigment into the skin. This superfine manual pen looks like a blade and consists of many tiny needles, it reaches only into the superficial layers of the skin, which makes the method semi-permanent.

COLOUR of the pigment is chosen based on your preference. We will advise you to match the colour of your eyebrows and hair, but you can choose darker or lighter colour if you prefer.

SHAPE of your desired eyebrows is drawn on with a waterproof pencil. This can take a bit of time because we have to make sure that you will be happy with the result. We will design your new eyebrows together; the shape of your brows can easily be altered according to your preference as everybody and every generation has a different idea how the perfect eyebrows should look like. With the help of a special ruler we can precisely measure your eyebrows and achieve perfect symmetry. We only start the treatment once you are happy with the final shape.

DISCOMFORT – does it hurt? Anaesthetic (numbing) cream is applied before and during the procedure to minimise discomfort. Most people don’t feel anything, some feel a slight scratching and some even fall asleep during the treatment. It is usually the sound of the blade on the skin that people tend to notice, it sounds like shaving stubbles. You can put your earphones in and listen to music instead!

RESULT: The overall look is natural and realistic, more defined and fuller eyebrows.

Initial session – it takes approximately 2 hours. This includes the consultation, discussing the desired shape and colour, application of anaesthetic (numbing) cream, eyebrow mapping, microblading and explaining aftercare.

First top up – price applies if done 5-8 weeks after the first session

Further top up – price applies if done within 9 months of previous session

The variations:

Microblading – compared to other techniques, gives a very natural look and better simulates hair.

Microshading – creates a soft, powdered effect that resembles eyebrow powder.

Blade & Shade – microshading and microblading combined.
